Purpose:

The purpose of the Multimedia Relations Ministry (MRM) at Brown Memorial C.O.G.I.C. is to convey the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our visually-driven, ever-changing world through the use of technology and media, and to enhance other ministries within the church through the use of digital and electronic media as a worship and outreach tool.

The Multimedia Relations Ministry is responsible for the following areas:

  • Procurement, management and maintenance the technology and equipment for church presentations and audio/video feeds

  • Coordination and production of service through multimedia platforms

    • Weekly service script development

    • Assist Audio and Video feeds

  • Maintenance of digital display

  • Engagement of members and community through print and Social Media Communications (including church website, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

  • Provide training and support for ministries wishing to use MRM services

Leadership Team:

Director (Sister Fasha Lynche-Chachin) – The Director of Media Ministries position is to creatively communicate to the congregation and the world outside our walls through the use of relevant, meaningful multimedia productions.  Serves as the point of contact for church leadership and coordinates the efforts of the MRM team. Ensures weekly service presentations are prepared and presented.

Assistant Director (Missionary Deniece Williams) – The Assistant Director of Media Ministries will assist the Director as needed. Serves as the point of contact for church leadership and coordinates the efforts of the MRM team. Ensures weekly service presentations are prepared and presented.

Lead Sound Engineer (Brother Rod Daley)– Responsible for all things audio and cross training.

Secretary/Announcement Liaison (Sister Dedra Knight) – Liaison with the announcement team.  Provide administrative assistance.  Backup AV engineer

Opportunities to Serve:

Primary AV Engineer – Operates the computer program during services, prepares visual scripts and advertisements, announcements etc. that are projected on the projection screens.  Running the audio system

Secondary AV Engineer – Assists the primary engineer in preparing visual scripts for presentations.

Graphic Designer – Contribute to overall design and branding elements for the multimedia program, as needed.

Web Designer – Contribute to the look, layout and features of the website.  Assist with maintenance and additions to the website, as needed.

Content Manager – Development of the content displayed on the church website by using writing, editing or photography skills.

Social Media Contributors – Contribute to the content displayed on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram etc.
