“For the Priests lips, should keep knowledge; for he is the messenger of the Lord of Hosts.” – Malachi 2:7

A native of Tampa, Florida, Bishop Gilyard has spent over 35 years preaching 22 of them traveling the world as a full-time evangelist, prolific preacher and a revelatory teacher. Like Nehemiah, he is not afraid of the assignment which God has placed in his hands to accomplish. His burning vision is to see the lives of all mankind transformed by the revelation of God’s Word. His mantle is prophetic in purpose, apostolic in function, Pastoral in compassion and evangelistic in outreach.

Bishop Gilyard was apprenticed under the auspices of two generations of leaders in the Church of God in Christ. He was ordained as an Elder at the age of twenty by the late Bishop W.E. Davis, Jurisdictional Prelate of Southwestern Florida Church of God in Christ.
